EarthGrid PBC is pleased to announce that on July 15, 2021, the California Public Utilities Commission voted to grant EarthGrid PBC a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (a state regulatory license), to offer full facilities-based and resold telecommunications service in the State of California (excluding areas where there are monopoly rural telephone companies), in addition to a license to provide long distance telecommunications services throughout California. EarthGrid plans to implement its regulatory license for innovative communications and information services in rural and remote areas of California where there is an urgent need for access to state-of-the-art communications services by small and medium business and commercial entities.
